Dear Fellow Residents,

I am very impassioned about gaining your support and serving as Mayor for the Village of Hainesville in the upcoming election. Many of our residents devote countless hours to the schools, civic organizations, youth activities and churches. I have gotten to know many of you through these worthwhile efforts and I can’t imagine living anywhere else.

Many residents have told me how much they value the support network that they have been able to establish with their neighbors here in Hainesville and it is one of the strongest reasons for them staying in this community. I believe we need to build upon this strength and offer more ways for residents to be involved with village decisions and planning.

The Open Meetings Act REQUIRES that all final action taken at an open session must be preceded by a public recital of the nature of the matter being considered and any other information that would inform the public of the business being conducted. Cited ILCS 120/2(e). Currently this practice is not being adhered to. I ask you to please review my goals listed on this site and forward any questions or ideas you may have.
